Diane Cummins

About the Author

I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1988. I completed my primary education there and attended R. Nelson Snider High School. I earned bachelor's degrees in both psychology and general studies from Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne. I spent several years in the workforce before going back to school for my master's degree. In 2023, I completed my master's in Public Administration and Leadership from The Ohio State University.

I built a robust career as a case manager serving elderly and disabled clients. I founded and operated my own business, Golden Apple Case Management, LLC, in Indiana from 2022 to 2026. The success of that venture gave me the opportunity to dedicate myself more fully to writing, something I had dreamed of since childhood.

From an early age, I was fascinated by the idea of parallel realms and what might exist on the other side of a mirror. That lifelong curiosity, combined with my disdain for bureaucracy, inspired me to write my debut novel, The Silvering.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, taking nature walks, building and maintaining aquariums, and playing chess.
